hey I recognise this! This is a road in Cospicua which leads to Rinella, home to the Mediterranean Film Studios. Thus, most probably the cargo in this pic was to be used for the latest film being shot there. According to this article (http://tinyurl.com/6okvxz) filming took place around the time you were visiting Malta. nice pics and blog!
